Chuck,
So the grid is all installed, tamped, and just needs soil (in the next few days)…may be too late to seed this fall, but it looks awesome.
I have several guys who are very interested in the product, one of which is the city engineer!
Ill keep ya posted on potential customers. I have taken several photos…when the clouds dry up, ill take a couple of after install, before soil.
And may have to wait til spring to see grass in 'em, but its looks really terrific and was pretty easy to work with!
Stand by for some photos.
Thanks again!
Daryn

Chuck,
Well, I didn’t quite get the grass planted in time this year, but the grid is down and was TERRIFIC to work with.
I was able to actually use a lot of the scrap pieces for the in fill odd shape edge pieces by cutting off the “pegs” and making the female notch, thereby leaving myself with almost a dozen pieces left over.
I plan to give them to my contact at the City of Wenatchee, who is very interested in the product as I had told you.
I threw some grass seed down, but I know it won’t take til spring.
Love the stuff Chuck, will definitely be back and have recommended it to several guys over here that have the opportunity to use the stuff!
Here’s a few pics, if you are over, give me a ring and I’ll tell you how to find me!
Thanks again Chuck, you have been extremely helpful and great to work with on this little project!

Daryn,
thanks for the pictures. From the pictures it looks like you did a great job.
one comment:
the soil seems to be a bit over the top of the grids in some places and a little low in others.
I would recommend you take the "bar" side of a rock rake (or a stiff broom) and scrape off the excess dirt and fill in the low spots.
this will limit sediment run-off until the grass grows in.
Ideally, the dirt should be slightly "lower" than the top of the grids for optimal grass growth and retention.
Also, I did not realize we were going to have a "side-by-side" comparison of our grids to the concrete grid types.
I cannot wait to see the grass in the spring!!
I appreciate the confidence in our grid products and I am glad to see you are satisfied.
Feel free to contact me when ever it is appropriate,
and thanks for the referral....

Chuck,
So, I totally agree about the soil levels (i did screet it, it just doesnt look like it in the pics), I'm counting on winter snow pack to pack down the dirt about a half to 3/4", if not, I'll take care of it in the spring, when i really get the grass to go.
Yes, it is right next to the concrete grid, and I will be honest, I'm seriously thinking about wrecking all that out if this grid continues to impress me!
I hate that concrete product, its all cracked, its heavy, it holds heat like nobody's business, and then some.
Sure appreciate you and your help. Ill definitely send all the new customers your way!
thanks again,
daryn
